Suns have grabbed a three-games-to-two lead in
the Western Conference semifinals by outlasting
the Los Angeles Clippers 125-to-118.
Shawn Marion
scored a game-high 36 points and grabbed 20 rebounds
for the Suns, who blew a 19-point lead in the
second half before winning. Marion hit a jumper
that gave the Suns a 121-to-118 lead with about
a minute remaining.
Raja
Bell forced the second overtime by draining a
three-pointer after Sam Cassell hit two free throws
to put the Clippers ahead 111-to-108. Bell finished
with 22 points while Tim Thomas added 25 points.
Cassell scored
27 of his 32 points after halftime, including
a three-pointer that forced O-T. Elton Brand had
33 points and 15 rebounds for the Clippers, who
will host Game Six Thursday.
